The batteries are what make solar power VERY expensive, and 95% of the systems here do not have back up. The easy and cheap solution is to get solar, and get a back up generator, seperate of the solar system.
The CA rebate is going down every month or less, if you are thinking about it, do it now. Every month you wait, the price goes up by at least $800 if not way more, depending on the size of your system.
