Mak I too have a 30 gallon & I was debating on getting a chiller but Ro pretty much talked me out of it. I use the ac in my apartment and put it on energy save and leave it on all night til about 2pm and my tank stays consistently between 78 & 80 degrees. Plus I have a fan blowing on it.
