Dear Members:

As you may already be aware Reefer's Cafe has changed owners in order to save this great community. We have been given another chance at making this one of the best reefer communities online. In the coming weeks there will be some changes made to the system in an attempt to make the forum more user friendly. There is plenty more to come in terms of contests, giveaways, discounts, etc Jorge (TwinReef) is staying on board to help when his time allows...Great!

"So who is the new owner?" many have asked on the forum. My name is Bernard aka 'Puffer' and I am the new owner.

Like you I share a passion for the underwater world and belong to numerous communities catering to reef hobby. Well what do you know; I decided to make Reefer's Cafe my home. Reefer's Cafe is one of the younger boards but I feel it has a lot of potential being the friendly one.

I have a 180G Softies Reef and started in the saltwater hobby with 10G tank full of stuff collected at Plum Beach in Sheepshead Bay. As most you I have gotten hooked and my 10G grew to 30, it then went to 135G and now 180 Gallon setup. I keep mostly softies because I love their swaying in the currents, something I've always enjoyed when diving or snorkeling in the Caribbean. As time goes you'll get to know me and my hobby approach better. Meanwhile, if you have any questions don't hesitate to PM me or any other admin or moderator for help.



I wanted to thank each and everyone for your support and participation in this great community.

Thank you Bernard for keeping this forum alive, like you i think it has a lot of potential and all i can say is that i am very happy we are all still here to talk another day lol.

Thanks Bio. Been a member here for a while, just created a new ID for Admin purposes. I'm cleaning things up and moving things around so if there are any suggestions I'd like to hear them here or if its sensitive in Mods forum.

the id forum was definitely a great suggestion, i also think it would be cool to have a tank of the month that way we can get our members more involved and also feature their tank or tanks wheather its a sps, lps, softy, new or matured tank.

Great decision on Making the Cafe your home....As an original 50 member of ths forum I am extremely pleased to see it get another chance to continue to grow and thrive...I have brought several members of my local Kansas City boards onto this site and all of them have been amazed at the wealth of knowledge contained on this site..

Mostly I want to thank everyone at Reefers Cafe for making this the great and friendly site that it is...
