Our business model has our prices cut to the bone -everyday. So we don't mark the products up excessively and then have "sales."

I understand. I'll be placing an order before end of this week; just still deciding on all the bits pieces I need for another install.

Question; Can the

BFS-213 14 gallon tank

be converted so that it stays on its side (and is it advisable). I've seen something like that done on competitor's site. I don't have the space to have it stand but I'm pretty sure I can fit it sideways.

Oh, and the reason I asked about discounts was because I was going to place a larger order bundling bunch of things together. Besides, it would be sweet if our members were treated as a special bunch

Sure - you can lay the tank on its side.

Our special contribution to the group is made as a cash donation each year that with the contribution of others keeps the forum funded.

If you are talking about a group buy - i.e., a large order, yes - we can provide a discount for those.

OK, I'm browsing through your site and adding things to the cart and have more questions.

1.) Air gap vs long reach faucet? I googled but still not 100% sure. Somehow I guess it would be a lot easier to just put a check valve on the rejected water, wrong?

2.) For my own re-install I wanted to add a housing with pre-filter because there is a lot of rust/crap in the water every time they work on pipes in the building/area (often). What size (micron) filter would be recommended in that housing? This of course would be installed before the RO/DI unit.

3.) For drinking-only RO water with a 5 gallons tank would there be any advantage of getting 100 GPD vs 50 GPD (or 75), obviously we don't drink even 50 gallons a day but somehow I feel there is a catch.

4.) If I was to get either BFS-149-151 where would BFS-117 or BFS-269 go? Again, this system is going to be used for drinking water only so whatever is available in the pressure tank can be used at a time until the tank is refilled.

5) I don't mind paying a few extra bucks for heavy duty items so would a BFS-269 be better than BFS-117 in terms of quality or are they for different use?

Please answer all so that we don't have items going back and forth and I can get my parent's drinking only unit installed and my own RO/DI retro-fitted and reinstalled smoothly.

Air gap faucet is a better choice.

I'd go with a 5 micron before the system, and a 1 micron in the system.

best to go with a slow membrane for residential systems, for example 24 gpd.

If you order a system and an ASOV, we'll plumb it in for you. Hmm. Why not go with our residential series system BFS314 (which includes an ASOV).

BFS269 is intended for use with a permeate pump.

Thanks for calling me back Russ,

Order placed, I couldn't leave any notes with the shopping cart so here are the changes requested.

1) Please change the membrane to 24GPD on the RO system. Would the 50 GPD last longer? If so leave it be.

2) I paid extra for upgrade to Air-Gap Faucet, please swap that in the kit

3) Please plumb-in the ASOV into the system.

Thank you much.

The rest of the fittings, housings, pre-filters etc are for a different system I am retrofitting, they should be separate.

Got it. We'll work through the $7 upcharge, refund due for the lower capacity membrane, shippings costs, etc and even up with you. Thanks for the order!

It did, thank you much.

I just wish the email with tracking number included my name instead of Ronen Levy. I hope UPS doesn't give me beef signing for the package.

Sorry - that name must have been in our UPS database as the "Ship To" name associated with reefercafe - do you not work together?

UPS just left it no questions asked so no problems there.

We don't work together with Ronen; he sold it years ago and week later disappeared.
