Default School tank

Hi guys,

I need to frag a few zoanthids from my school tank, and I was wondering how to do this. I know how to frag the GSP and the xenia, but not zoanthids.

thanks for help

take the razor blade and make a line seperating the section you want from the main colony. Cut inbetween the polyps on the membrane then sort of lift off the coral from the rock.

Better than a Razorblade is a utility knife with a new blade. Clean ANY blade with alchahol first as many blade have a thin coat of oil to keep them from coroding' Cut through the Zoa mat and then try to cut under it taking a thin layer of rock with it. The thicker blade of the utility knife is much safer than a Razorblade in doing this.

Sometimes, if your lucky you can start a cut at the edge of the Zoa's and gently peel them off the rock.

REMEMBER !!!, Zoa's can be very Toxic!!!!

Everyone is that stupid, If you did'nt know Zoa's an Paly's were that toxic and had your hands full while fragging, it is quite conceivable to put a blade in between your lips or teeth to hold it for a few seconds. People do this kind of thing all the time, I know I do.

Hell, you can't even spell "that"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! J/K
