Default Looks fungal, can't really tell...

So I had all my fish in 2 QT's after an Ich outbreak (my own fault).

Everyone was doing fine until ONE day, close to when my fallow period end date, when I noticed a cut on the side of the Male anthias. (Sorry, no pic for the initial cut).

Fast forward 2 days later, and it looks like this:

Fungal? Bacterial? He's eating still, but he isn't very mobile. Asonites thinks it's fungal, but I want to be sure.

About the same at this point. Did you click the link to the larger image?

He's still hanging on - not sure how this happened.

Weird, just checked the image and it looks like a cut or bruise that was infected with something. I don't think it just grew on the fish like that without primary damage to tissue. What you see is most likely secondary infection.

Sorry but I have no clue what it might be nor how to medicate if anything. Feed him well to keep his immune system strong and hope for the best. Keep your nose away from the glass and let it rest.
