Cool Mynd Pollution, Just call me Mynd

well let's see

This should definitely be a sticky so that people can find it easily enough.

Name is Mynd, as in Mynd Pollution. I have been in the saltwater hobby for 16 years. My have things changed. Weird thing is I never seem to have the problems other people have. Other then algae of the red kind due to undetected silicates early in my career. I have never had worms of any type. I have never had acropora eating mites. Nothing. Strange I guess. Maybe I am just that cautious.

So... if I get anything from Pnoy or Ronen I am going to find you and woop ya bad. It's going to be like a shrimp on an aptasia. It's not going to be pretty.

I am a network architect, which is a pretty broad title. I do pc repair, design, security, and migrations of large company data centers from one operating system to another or the same consolidated and requiring less over head thus lowering the TCO. Whatever, boring.. All you need to know is if it is a computer I can fix it.

I currently have a 12 gallon AquaPod. Downsized from a 90 from a 180. To much work and time any more for the large tanks. I would rather have 5 small frag tanks then one large tank any day. I basically threw all that time into a modded 12 gallon that took me 7 months to build. Lol, you can see it here in the nano section or you can click on the OFFSITE link in my signature for the story. I don't want to send you off-site but I have no choice.

I don't do much other then work on the PC, look at my tank and my wife to be. I rarely leave the basement, so getting to hang out with these guys once in awhile is cool. I am easy to get along with just don't get on my bad side. I forgive quite a lot, but there are just some people that don't let up. Once you scorn me, it's never the same.

Anyhew.... Yeah I am boring. I spend way to much time on the internet and your reading this outta bordem. We're going to be good friends.

Hey all my name is Greg, I have been a reef hobbyist now for a little over 6 years...I have experience all sorts of conditions and infestations as well as managed to try out a tremendous amount of different types of filter systems, lighting systems and protein skimmers...I have just finished replumbing my tank for the third time and believe I know have the best set up for my system...Its been a long time to slowly customize and purchase all the equipment that I have wanted to from the beginning, but as they say Rome wasn't built in a day...

I look forward to sharing my knowledge and gaining new knowledge and insight into reef keeping with all of you...

I was just thinking I totally forget to talk about my tank set up...
I have a 75 Gallon reef ready All Glass tank, I have two Metal Hallide 150watt pendullum lights, a 55 gallon sump, a wide variety of SPS, LPS, Leathers and Clams, some mushrooms, some sea cucumbers and a few worms as well, I have a wide range of invertebrates, turbo snails, margaretta snails, Anthias Snails, Blue and Red Legged Hermits a few sand sifting starfish and a good live DSB... I have about 100 lbs of Fiji live rock in my tank and then about 30 lbs so far in my sump, I am getting ready to change to the PM Bullet 1 Protein Skimmer so I am waiting to fill the rest of my sump up with live rock until I my Bullet up and running...I am currently using an Excalibur SV2 with not the most enthusiastic results...hence the upcoming change...Well I hope that this gives a little more detail about my system...I will be uploading some pics later on but right now im stuck at work and dont have any with me.

My name is Lin Duty. I have been in the hobby for 25 years. I currently reside in Colorado. I have a company that specializes in Salt water custom tanks and servicing. The company is established but is more of a hobby right now(part-time job). The reason I wanted a store is because I love the hobby and feel everyone should be able to enjoy the beauty and mystery of salt water tanks in there homes and offices. Over the years I have studied all types of fish (Fresh and Salt Water) and their environments. I love learning about the hobby and I love even more helping others become more knowledgable. I feel it is important to research any type of fish you own or plan on owning in the future. It makes for a happy and very healthy, safe environment for you and your fish. The main reason I like posting ad reading is to educate others about the dangers of some of the fish we deal with on a daily basis (ex: scorpions/lionfish/rock fish etc). Nothing is more heartbreaking than to read about someone who was not informed and has suffered as a result of lack of knowledge. I try to educate my family about the danger in our own tanks. I have a predator tank, a shark tank, seahorse, and several reef and breeder(firefish/percs) tanks. Hopefully one day I will have my octopus (don't kill me over this) and some cuddle fish.
