Default Beware of online company Aquatic Hobby Aquarium Supply.

Not sure if this is the proper area to post this, but just want to voice my buyer's experience from a online company named Aquatic Hobby AquariumSupply. I purchased a Current USA Power Skimmer from them. It did not fit my tank ( Eurobrace 2 inch tank rim ) so I contacted their customer service dept. They charged 20% restocking fee, then when they realized that I try the skimmer, they won't take it back. On top of that the customer service rep got rude on me. Wow, I couldn't believe it!!! They have no customer service skills. Just to warn any buyers who came across this company online, check the return policy before you buy. I will NEVER buy from them, no matter how cheap are their pricing.

Thisis something that we as customers have to watch for. Best advise i can ever give , is pay the few extra dollars with a known rep online store. some may even have them cheaper then others. As for the 20% restocking fees , man i paid them plenty of times and its sux , BUT ,, you do have to remember the ppl working on the other side. they need to get paid for working and its also harder to sell something that was open or used.

Take it as a lesson learned and just make sure you buy from reputable places. some of our sponsor have good deals. HTH and sorry for your experience

But almost all companies charge a restocking fee. And once the product touches water it is non refunable. I dont see a problem with the company, thats how they work. I understand how pissed you might feel but there is nothing they can do.

The restocking fee is something that they will have to do, and it is their policy not to take it back, so they follow it. I don't see a reason for companies having poor customer service though, terrible.

Foster and Smith has great service for their dry goods and equipment. Any problems and they rush the new parts to you free, outstanding service in my opinion.
