Default Red Bubble Tip

Hey fellow fish finatics,

My red bubble tip has deflated for a couple of days now. My tomato clown likes to abuse it during the day so it always retracts at night, but recently it is retracted during day time hours.

I tried feeding it krill several times, but it just spit it out. I started feeding photoplankton, every other day, which I think it is enjoying.

Did a water change today in case that was the issue.

Salinity 1.24, T5 lights, levels good.

Any advice?????

Thanks.

One thing that I want to make sure of, is you sailinity 1.24, or 1.024. Im sure you just missed a 0.

I would say just leave the coral as it is for another week or two, and then post a pic and an update, it may be freaked out. Until then, keep checking water param's.

what lighing are you using. also how long do you have it , do you think it may be splitting? I would raise the salinity to 1.025. just o be on the safe side

Hey Deep,

Lights on 9 hours. T5 red sea max bulbs. I heard RBT splits in the dark areas of the tank, so I counted that out. How true is that?

Will try to raise salinity on the next top off.

Wish the tomato will stop humping it for at least an hour to just let it chill.

I agree with zuska, i feed my blue bubble tip silver sides once a week. About 1.5 to 2 silvers sides. Give that a try. I think its more of a natural food for them.
