Hey Aqua Dudes,
My aquarium buddy sold me Chem-Marin Stop Parasites for the Black Ich problem I am having. Does anyone know anything about this stuff? The instruction say, remove filters, carbon, turn off lights; PH will dip and if you dont monitor it closely other fish will die. Great product. Should I buy an additional Ph chem in case it does dip. Or should I just sell my Purple Tile Fish, Tomato Clown (Only ones not infected) and start the whole tank a new, which is what I am leaning toward. |

he has no room in his apt for QT
take the fish and sell them , keep the tank fish free for a few months and concentrate on the corals . When you do get to buy new fish , go to a place that can QT the fish for you , may cost you a few extra $$ but worth it . Using any chems or product that will mess with you chemistry of your tank. Is not good , plus 1st rule of reef hobby , dont add any chems to your display tank jmo

Since black ich is called the tang disease, figured that was it. Thats why I am trying to confirm you you all. I know nothing. |

A way to trreat black ich is Formalin dips. The only problem 99% of us have with doing dips is catching the fish! I would listen to Ronen and not add anything to my tank. Deff don't add Formalin to the diplay tank. Are you local? I have a feeling I know where you purchased the disease fish and who sold you the Chem-Marin Stop Parasites. I have had a succesfull tank for over 3 years. Recentley I got a new tank. There was also a store the opened near by. I purchased a fish in that store. To make a long story short I have all my corals in a friends tank for over 2 months now and I am fighting ich with hyposalinity. I don't want to mention the store in this thread but if you PM we confirm. To give you a clue it always looks like a bathroom!

Im sorry to say , , so no other fish tank gets ineffecting , at least pm the members that would like to know. I hate to see another thread like this on the board !!! and watch fish and corals just die from careless LFS maintenance. Not to mention watch you guys loss money and things you work hard for and care for
