Tons of Micro Bubble coming out... HELP!!!
I know once a while I get micro bubble.. But this is way too much..
Last nite, I did about 50% water change, and at the same time, I connect the phosban reactor on a different pump. after that, 5 mins later, my skimmer is creating tons of micro bubble and blowing all over the tank.. So I thought maybe after water change, and just let it kick in for a while.. and then I went to bed.. So this morning, I woke up, and I still see the skimmer making tons of mirco bubble of it, and is blowing all over my tank.. So I took out the skimmer & the pump to clean it.. Still happening.. Still creating tons of micro bubble.. HELP!!!! What's wrong?? When I did the water change, I didn't touch anything.. All I did was changing the water...
Is that mean I need a skimmer??? The skimmer that I have comes with the Finnex 30 Tank...

I do believe the bubbles you really want to use caution with are the ones you can't entirely see. If it is just the skimmer and filter creating the bubbles (Mine does the same thing and in 6 months I have not had any problems directly resulting from bubbles) then it is probably fairly normal. You might post some pictures of the results you are seeing so that we can take a look at what is going on! Also they make a type of bubble trap for skimmers that you can put under the return of the skimmer... this allows less bubbles into the aquarium and just looks like a box. Remora's AquaC prefilter is a prime example:
Prefilters
I actually have one but it is a good size box and took up more space then I cared so I removed it...

Here's the pic for tons of bulbbe.. Can't really see it in the tank.. But is the whole tank that looks like that... Also, since I connect the phosban, and today I got home.. I see all the purple stuff on the rock and on the sand.. Is that normal?? I though the phosban suppose to help me reduce it..
Thanks

Sorry the pic were too big and I have to reduce it.. Here's the pic.. The skimmer is acting crazy with all the bubble..
Also, Why am I having all those purple stuff on the sand and on the rock.. I already reduce the lighting.. and those things came out right after I connect the phosban reactor.. Does that cost them to bloom??

is the phos ban hook correctly ,
the intake should be the middle connection . the one that is not center is the out put. just in case .
can you get a pic of the complete sump from top view , so we can see what may be causing the bubbles
the red stuff , is red slime , it could be from , over feeding , nitrates and or phosphates. It would go away that fast. it takes time , some times 2 months with WC and changing out the media.
What i did to reduce growth when i had a problem , is shut the lights for 4 days. i did 5 gal WC about 2 of them , in the 4 days the lights were off. it help alot , but not the solution, just wanted to get control of clearing it from the tank

Well, the lighting is on only when I get home, so that's about 2 hours of lighting for the day.. and I just did the 50% WC, and when I got home that day, I see all the red slime thing.. And I only feed a little right now...
As for the Phosban, at first I got it connect it wrong.. and then I correct it, the center one is connect it to the pump, and the side one is return it to the sump.. right.. I will try to get a pic tonite when I get home...

I have a tiny bit of that red slime stuff on my sand bed. I wasn't too concerned about it but like Deep said water changes and cleaning out the filtration media is a must... i'll be occupying myself with that this weekend as well. Just don't want an outbreak.

I am not worrying about the red slime right now.. I am just trying to figure out, since the water change, why all these bubble coming out from the skimmer.. Could that be the phosban that I just connect, since there's chemical in there... Possible??

Red slime means there's not much flow in that spot so u might want to aim the powerhead that way just to get rid of it.

I'll try that.. I was worried it might spread around if I tried to remove it myself... doesn't this stuff spread like algae if you disturb it? Or am I crazy?

Did you put any additives in your makeup water? Dechlorinators?
