I called them and there was a problem sending someone over until this past week. He told me that everything was dead in the tank because of the giant mushroom anemone in the tank dying. They are going to help me clean the tank out and set it up again. This time they only will charge me half price.

I am so terribly sorry about your tank.;( It is a darn shame you live so far for us to help you out.;(
At least they are willing to charge half the price! Please take it very slow with the next set up. Allow it to mature before you add anything in it. Do you have any test kits to work with? Assuming you do, test the water for ammonia, nitrites, nitrates to begin with.
Once the ammonia climes, and comes back down to 0, your nitrites will rise as well. Once the nitrites start to come down your nitrates will start to climb. When your nitrates get below 20ppm you can then ad a fish. Check all of the above again. Once the nitrates get to below 20 you can add the next living animal. And so on, and so on. By the way we like to wait a few months before we start to add corals, and such. Most Fish are much more tolerant then corals.

I wish you the very best your second time around. Don't give up, you'll get there buddy!

Well after thinking about it I salvaged the tank and put it back on my end table. I am going to try this again. Rocks are soaking in a bucket now and I brushed them off as well.

BodyH20, I'm so sorry things went so bad for you! But if it makes you feel any better, my first few years I all most through in the towel as well. Now I am so happy I didn't. You learn from your mistakes, and now we have the internet which I find is extremely helpfull. Not only is there a great deal of info., but a lot of caring people who will give you moral support. And even physical help if they are close enough. I'm glad you decided not to give up after all. Stay strong!!!!

This is the before (cleaned up of a forest of green hair algea, and red slime)at it's best.

And this is what I have now!!

OK tank has been running for some time empty with rocks in it, but something funny s happening and I keep checking but don't find anything. There is a cracking noise coming from the tank. it's wired, but I don't think the tank is breaking maybe it's the stand?

Hmm...I would say pistol shrimp. Is this new rock from the same guys? Take a small coke bottle, cut off the top, flip it upside down and stick it back in. Cut a small hole and stick a twist tie or something to make sure the top doesn't come out. Then put some food inside of the little bottle and put it back into your tank for a few hours periodically checking back to it.

Sorry for the delay, it wasn't a pistol shrimps like suggested above it was the lower pane cracking beneath the molding it finally let go. Wish I was there when it did so I could have prevented the damage. Guess I will have to start over again. Insurance guy is coming over this week will see what is covered.

I'm not sure what you are asking? Are you saying your tank was manufactured by "Current", and you want to get the same tank again?

Well I just got home from a party and I notice this box. The fed ex guy left it on the snow which got me a little mad but it is the bottom part of the tank. I hope it will be ok sitting in a pile of snow for a few hours. I bring it in and let it sit in the foyer to the morning. Then I will check it out.
