Default My Ric Garden

I think I finally found the "Sweet Spot" for my Fla. Rics. I moved them to this spot a few days ago and can already see a growth spurt.

I love the red ones with the green skirts and the green ones with the blue skirts. Very nice collection. I wish I could find nice ones like those.

Now you want one, I asked if you wanted in on these when I got them.
As soom as one of them grows another mouth, I'll frag it for you. This of course means I have first dibs on that Green one in the corner of your tank when it splits!

Thanks Chong. Here's a pic for you. It's attached to the rock and growing fast, the polyps are'nt open much yet, but I'm sure they will be soon.

Looks good. So, tell us more about this sweet spot. Lighting, flow etc.

My lighting consists of one 250w DE MH, 14k Pheonix bulb PFO Ballast and two 36w Helios T5 Actinics. the Ric Garden is off to the right of the MH about 8".

I have quite a bit of flow in my tank alternating back and forth through a modified SCWD. I would say the area the rics are in to be medium flow about every 7 seconds.

I think every tank has a "Sweet Spot" for growing Rics, you just have to play around until you find it. This was my 4 move looking for it. If I had'nt had a couple of frags drop into the rockwork, forcing mr to rescape things, I might not have found it.
