Back in 98 I caught a 6'0 125 Tarpen of the coast of Hilton Head Island SC...Was a two hour fight to get it to the side of the boat...Took pictures and then released...What a great day that was...Ill see if I can find the pics, scan them and then upload them..

Goliath Grouper from the looks of it. That is how we fish down in florida! right? They get the size of Volkswagons, believe it or not, that is not an adult fish, just a juvenile. (Big as hell though nice catch) I swam next to one that was close to 500 pounds, big as hell. There is one that lives near this pier I dive when the fisherman don't complain...and they do they think I scare the fish away...nonsense. Anyway it is a goood 250-300 pounds real nice looking fish.
I have fished the north, and the south. Bluefish and stripers are fun, but way more stuff down here, and our fish taste better. Ever eat a snook?
Although the flounder fishing up by you is better.
