Good read. I've always since starting my tank have used reef crystals. Won't stop either. I know someone who was using it then decided to buy cheaper crap and paid for it dearly right Harry lol

I started using reef crystals and noticed a increase in po4 .. So now I use Red Sea Coral Pro much better salt check it out!!!! You'll never have to add calcium again unless you have alot of corals that suck it up....

The guy I bought my live rock from recommended the Red Sea Coral Pro with Calcium stuff. Said it was great stuff I intend on picking up a bucket of it since he sells it for 40. Anyone else have experience with the Red Sea mix?

Go ahead and rub it in see if I give you anymore corals.LOL.My bad is that I listened to some reefers claim that salt is salt.Yah right.If you have to buy and add extra magnesium and two part what's the point?Trust me your corals WON'T LIKE it!!! All my levels were whacked out.Just so you know I used regular Instant Ocean.My corals are so happy now!!

I also use Red Sea Coral Pro but have found it to have a low DKH around 7. I mix it at 77.5 degrees and have it circulating each week for 24 hours before usage. PH is around 8.1, bucket is clean and water is distilled and checked with tds meter before use.

I will continue to use this salt until I am out and then I am going back to viaaqua - OceanPure Sea Salt - 50 Gallon Mix Bag (Saltwater Aquarium Supplies > Salt Mix )

Excellent salt, Excellent price, no problems
