Are they compatible with most fish? I know I should research and yadda yadda yadda but I'm actually on my cellphone responding =)
Has anyone here actually have them breed?

Yeah, I kinda of regret buying them because they look like goldfish.
My lyretails do not need special care. I feed them once a day and they will eat anything.

lol...Hey Harry, believe it or not, i've only been to Staten Island once in my lifetime. That was about 2 months ago and it was by accident. I missed my exit and ended up in SI. No joke bro. Never had a reason to go
Rob, np call/text me when you can pass by. I pitched it to the rents....no luck....especially after i told them that i wanted to get a 95 gal. wave to replace it. They think im nuts. I think they are going to get more discus this week
I may have to spend the $$$ i have for the tank on a new toy.....maybe a canon xti with 100mm macro lense

Anthias are beauties.
I had a pair of Bartlett and if I would have been willing to spend the $50/ fish I would have bought 4 more.
They are hard to keep because of they feeding needs. I believe you have to try and feed them 2 - 3 times per day. In my tank that wasn't' the case. My reef fish would receive food every other day aside from the nori sheet for the tangs. I believe my success was because I added them to a tank that was a few years old and had a ton of pods. This is the only logical thing that would explain their fat guts.
Another thing with these fish, especially the lyretail, is aggression. The dominant male will kick the day lights out all the others (females) to keep them from turning into males. Fun fish to have in a group of 3 or more.
These are my old anthias.

I believe the same thing , putting the hard to keep fish in an established tank will be better for them to acclimate and be in a more natural environment
