Im happy to announce Reefer's Cafe 1st frag swap 2008 !!



Date : Sunday March 2 2008
Time : 12noon till ers
Location : My place Brooklyn 11229 (i will pm everyone my address)


Food and Drinks: At 1st , i wanted to see if ppl would bring something with them , but that would be just a pain. So I would like to get a 6ft and a 3ft cold cut sandwich from the local deli. Depends on how many ppl will come. The cost is $10 each person to cover the cost of food , drinks ,cups plates etc .. If there will be any money left. I will put it toward the alcohol ers that i was going to get. (no one under 21 will be able to drink)

Volunteers : I will need a few ppl to help set up and move some stuff around the apt and help out after to clean up . Anyone that wants to help out. Set up will start at 10- 10:30am.

Payment: Will go to reeferscafe@gmail.com Please put your screen name so i can update the thread. and Frag swap in the subject.

What do i need for the swap ?

All you need is $10 to eat and drink. You do not need frags or have to buy frags to come. You can come just to meet ppl and have fun.

What will be at the swap ? Ppl , frags , food , drinks and just good ol fun !!

Can i sell frags, corals and dry goods at the swap? Yes , You can start a thread here http://www.reeferscafe.com/frag-swap-2008/ and post all your frag swap goodies.

Do i have to be in ny to trade frags ? Nope. If the member is willing to ship you the corals for trade or purchase. then why not. Go for it !

If anyone would be interested , we can show how to frag lps. zonathid and sps corals. I would also like to show ppl how to ship corals. properly pack them in the box etc...

I will also have a 26gal frag tank set up, Its 48" long by 20" w x 6 " high , just incase anyone wants to put some corals for sale. I just need lights

Yeah swap in florida sounds good. 2 bad its only me tsouth and casanova down here. Either way I'll be on the shout box during the swap hope we have alot of pics and good sps for sale. If twin or wobbegong are there I'm sure it will be good..............I'm gonna be blowin up some cell phones.. HAHAHAHA

Ronen, I am gonna check out airline prices...maybe I will fly in for it...if not maybe I can overnight myself on a fed ex truck...lol...would love to be there, you should set up a web cam for the fragfest so us outside NY/NJ people can watch the demos...

Hmm i can install a boiler to my tank . add new pipes , even add a hot water heater. But a web cam ,ME ? , Ill leave that to JF2381 if can do it , i have no problem , we would need to run wires to my living room , unless they make them wireless

Alright, have the airfare and hotel in place..unless anyone wants to put us up for the weekend...lol...no seriously...does anyone? We come in Friday flight lands at JFK at 10:53pm and then we have to fly back out Sunday at 4:16pm...

Why don't u guys just film the event (with a digital camcorder offcourse!) and post the vid up on youtube. You'll get way better quality than a webcam.
