danny, you need to sign up for a membership for FMAS. I just did it through the mail. Look at their website, it costs about 10 dollars for a year.
You can do it prior or at the door.

I went to the swap today and I got a 2" to 3" piece of Acropora for $5 and a nice piece of xenia for $15. They had extremely cheap prices on equipement. They had a chiller for $50 and a little giant pump for $15. Nice show cant wait for the next one

i have personally seen these mushrooms, and they are true beasts. it seems that dannys irregular nitrate readings are fueling their enormous growth. id say they are at least 8-10" in diameter.

Yeah I should probably take care of my nitrates since there like 20ppm+ but I have seen nothing but positive effects on corals and fish but ofcourse I hate my algae.

Not sayig that 20ppm is good , but LPS and sotfies tanks denifit from dirty waters (disclaimer , dirty waters as in some nutrients ) im sure if it went to 50ppm youll see a problem. Try doing a few water changes.
also do you know aht might be causing the nitrates. such as bio balls , old sponges as filters etc..

Well my skimmer is off because it generates like 5 degrees of heat which the corals will not tolerate and i guess some from my bio-balls since I never clean them. Now exact source; btw ive dont like 3 water changes........no results

danny, you should change that sponge on the bottom, looks brown, compared to its new blue. also, i think you should do this total nitrate destruction method...Change 10% of ur water every other day for two weeks...reduces nitrates by 10% every time I.E. 20, then 18, then 16.2, so on

we could also swap the bioballs for live rock, put a powerhead in the return area so it is not stagnant.
