I did some measuring last night and this will work ok I believe...the nicest thing about this set up is it will not require me to take my tank offline..I can leave my sump exactly where it is and build the stand around it...I may have to close the sump line for a few minutes while I move the PVC lines around but I am going to be able to build the whole stand in my garage and then bring it down to the basement to attach to the wall...I am going to have to take my Refugium down for a while though while i replumb it...Not a big deal though..

This may be the solution to my problem if I can keep the foot print of my water storage container on the top shelf...still not sure what the foot print is so I am going to measure when I get home...

The shelves are particle board. Perhaps the metal can handle 1500 lbs but that wood can't. I've got two shelves bowing from the weight of my laundry detergent. I'd replace the particle board with 3/4" plywood.
