Reef Controller
Hey guys,
Just musing about my purchases to be.
Who here thinks that I should get an aquacontroller? I mean, i am going to be getting a chiller, and i want a wavemaker, but cant i jsut use a controller for the chiller, and the red sea wavemaker? what other thing could i use with a controller?
Opinions appreciated.

Calcium reactor, ORP reactor, Heater/Chiller, Multiple Timers, Wavemakers to name a few. You can set it to turn off your lights should the temp go too high, the list is pretty long of what a controller can do. Even though some are a bit pricey, when you think about it, they do a LOT for the money.
I have 5 timers alone on my tank, that is a quarter of what an AC Jr. w/the DC8 would cost.
This might help you out,

There's a couple of AC Jrs on sale on eBay if that's helpful.

Just for the software alone I would go with the reefkeeper 2.

I use the RK2 and it's pretty decent. There are some more advanced but expensive controllers out there too though. The GHL Profilux controller has aph probe, salinity probe, temp probe and an orp probe. You can also purchase a dosing module 1 - 4 pumps (great for 2 part). It also has an led bar that is dimmable! YOu can prgram it to make it a cloudy day, sunny day etc.. It has a built in web server and like a million other things. What's the catch it can cost about $1,000.00 if you really get into it and order a bunch of add ons, but it kicks ***!
