I'm going to be setting up a small cube tank soon and was thinking of trying to light it with LED's. Got any suggestions or LED"s for sale?
I have some Blues left over from my moonlights I made, I'm looking for white ones. I'm not sure if Im going to try any corals in this tank, if I do, it will probably only be Rics. I'm on a budget with this tank, so I'm not looking for anything really expensive.

What's your definition of small?????
If you are talking about main light, your left overs from the moon light is not going do any good. You need power LEDs for this application. Me and Solaris use 3W for this. The current on going market rate is $10/W with drivers and such. If you build it raw, a quick search in the web yields $7 per 3w LED

The footprint is only 13"x13" and it is 22" deep. I was not planning on the Blue LED's for anything more than Moonlights.
Can you overdive LED's? How many of those 3 watters do you think I would need? Remember, I'm not trying to do anymore than the lowest light corals, if even that. One last question, the ones in your link, what color would you say they would best represent, 10k, 14k or 20k?

For you case I would go for 6 white 6 blue. If you are not in a rush you can tag along with my orders this week. I am ordering LEDs for myself too Tuesday. Or 6 white 3 blues
