Hey guys,
I have a strange question. What salinity is required to grow coralline?
The reason I ask is because I found a couple amazing pieces of lace dead rock and am wanting to use it in my brackish puffer tank. I have the pieces starting to cure right now after cleaning them really well. I want to try and see if I can get them to coralline over in time at 1.005-1.009 salinity.

Being that coralline is part of our reef tank. I have to say it wont grow at 1.005 or 1.009

I have dived plenty in brackish water...(I don't recommend it at all)- never seen coralline. I don't even see it in intracoastal water, except at the high tide line, right after the low tide line it is nowhere to be found. Don't know why, but I don't think it will happen. Keep us posted though.
