Default Chemi-Pure Elite

I was wondering if Chemi-Pure Elite took out trace elements in a reef tank. I have read that it does before and I was also told that by a few fish stores and one person who I spoke to was a marine biologist who said that it does. I would like to have an opinion of a more experienced reef keeper than me.

Thanks

I havent used it myself. But its the same thing with skimmers. lots of ppl say it take out good stuff from the tank as well.

I think If you used it every now and then (the chemi-pure ) then you should be ok. Buti cant be 100% sure , because i never used it

I have been using chemi-pure elite for almost a year now. I would like more information although my tank has been fine so far.

I am sure that ifyou keep up with water changes, and your supplementation, then your traace elements will be fine. Pretty sure that the chemipure elite cant act that quickly, chemically wise, with regards to removing trace elements from the water column

I actually called the Boyd company and spoke to one of their lab techs and they told me that if you do not keep up with weekly water changes (they said about 25% every week) that chemi-pure elite will take out trace elements and supplements. They told me that they consider a water change going through your whole sand bed and that your sand should look like new after the water change. They also told me that it will remove any trace elements or supplements you add within 24 hours.
