Default Blew Bulb Question

My center bulb went out ( Actually 2) I had an old bulb I put in one socket, the ballast works when I switch to other bulbs so the ballasts are all good.

I spilled water on a powerstrip/ timer.

Qiuestion #1 Would that have surged the bulbs killing them? ( 2 bulbs threw that one)

Question #2 I have a 125 w/ 72" fixture, the center bulb is out, will my coral survive w/ the little light their getting?

I ordered 2 bulbs off ebay cause $ is tight, now I gotta wait.

thanks, any input is greatly appreciated, I was ready to scrap the hobby, so much frustration and $ when times are bad..

your tank will be fine with a bit of light or even no light for 4 to 5 days. Not 100% about the bulbs thou. the power strip should a protector on it. But anything could happen

I'd say you'll be fine with less light in the tank. Problem is when you put in new MH they'll be much stronger than old/missing bulbs. I'd recommend you raise your fixture a bit when you put them in lowering it slowly over days or even weeks.
