I want to frag my colt (Any advise would be Helpful
I have a huge colt that needs fraggin. The best idea I have seen yet is to take small rock chunk ,drill hole in it glue a plastic tooth pick in the rock. Then stab cutting onto stick ,cut the top off of the stick and place a little bit of super glue on top to hold it on. PLEASE any other sugestions would be helpful haven't fragged this species yet so I don't really now whats the best method is.. THANKS GUYS...
Some ppl stick a toothpick thru the bottom of the frag ,then use rubber bands to secure the frag to the rock . once the colt coral has attached itself to the rock ,romove the rubber ands and the toothpick
Yeah DEEP I have seen that method also , but think it is more stressful than not holding it down tightly . The method I found uses superglue on the end to hold it on and it actually attachs to the stick before the rock. A person at the lfs told me it would work quicker and less stressful. Garf.net has video and pics of same method.....Pretty much the same concept, what I do know is wedding viel and sowing method are bad ... It seems to really stress them out or even kill the cutting....
Be sure to dip the coral immediately in dish of water after you add the glue. The glue gets quite hot when it is setting and can damage or kill your frag.

Dang KathyC...that's excellent advice, (not often heard or given)!

Do you mean that you want to frag Colt... Brennan? The University of Hawaii all-star, future heisman trophy winning, quarterback?! Sorry there is only one Colt Brennan and noone can even attempt to duplicate him---or "frag" as you call it....
When I frag my colt I use the method you posted in the beginning. You use a plastic tooth pick and attach it to the rock with epoxy or superglue. Then cut your frag and push the base of the frag over the toothpick. Then place a dab of superglue over the end of the tootpick to keep the frag from coming off. place in tank in low flow area until frag has solidly attached to rock. If needed once attached cut exposed toothpick off and the frag will grow over it. Following is a picture of one I did for my sons 10G nano.
