Does any know how to kill these??
A friend of mine gave me one of these green anemones and at the time I thought it was cute. Then 1 turned into 2, 2 turned into 4, 4 turned into 8...get the picture?? Well got way too many of them and I would like to know if anyone ever seen these and what they are? Also how do I KILL THEM!! They sting lots of my corals and I just don't want them any more. HELP!!!:O:

Wow some friend... you just put what looks like a majano anemone in your tank. In my opinion they are worse than aptasia as nothing reef safe eats majanoes so biological control is out.
What you'll have to do is manually kill em all.

Get a syringe and inject them with one of the following; Joe's juices, kalk paste, over concentrated kalk water, boiling water, vinegar, or lemon juice. This list is probably not even close to complete as reefers can be very industrious when it comes to solving a problem.
Good luck

ahyup mojano's.... Kalk paste, Joes juice, boiling water all pretty much work... Theres a product out there called aptasia control which is basically kalk paste mixed with shrimp flavor that they almost immediately eat. I've had excellent luck with that product.
You can also mix up a thick mixture of pickling lime (super cheap) and hit it... keep in mind any of the over the counter products will raise your alk if you use a lot! and PUMPS OFF!!! dont wanna wax anything you want to keep!

With respect to: Joe's juices, kalk paste, over concentrated kalk water, boiling water, vinegar, or lemon juice - I know Joe's Juice, kalk, boiling water and lemon Juice are reef safe, but Vinegar?? What type, white distilled vinegar? What will this do to my water parameters?? Also, boiling water...won't this melt the seringe? During my weekly water change last night, I gave them a good wack with Joe's Juice - they all look like they've been to a nasy halloween party and their costums are still on...I am planning on doing this consistently during every water change. These things are a menace!!! KILL the MAJAJOS!!!

Just keep in mind depending on tank size that vinegar will lower your PH. Or you can get some tongs and pull them off the rocks and baggies them up and give them to your LFS. That would be the easiest and they would sell them to someone else who wants them.

glad to say that more than half have died off, but some appear to be coming back. guess i am going to have to juice them up again during the next water change...
