i wanted to get my chaeto rolling around a bit, as it is good to roll it around with an indirect current, but also to prevent stagnant water in this one part of my fuge.
Whenever danny cleans his tank, it always looks a ton better, hes pretty thorough, i told him that either a powder blue tang or a hawaian blue tank would be good.
house of fins had a great powder blue for 38

You should concentrate on the reason you have that much algea in the first place rather than trying to figure out which tang to get.
Just a suggestion, I'm not preaching at you.

Came off kind of preachy though Psychographic is again right of course. But algae growth is sometimes good, it show you have an environment in which life can thrive. Just eliminate that algae. Maybe get some macro algae to take up the nutrients the micro algae is using. This way you can take advantage of the high nutrients, and still have something cool to luck at. There are literally thousands of cool macros out there. They are also inexpensive compared to coral.

Here is what I got from my previous Foster order, a nice RO/DI 50 gpd fixture.
Here is the sexy DI cartridge, producing my 99.99% pure water
Anyone in the Miami area want free mixed saltwater, you know where to go. Except danny, you may only get water after the contest...just kidding, you are probably the only person im gonna end up giving water.lol
Anyways, sweetness!
I would also like to point out that I beleive dannys polyps are probably the only ones that have spread under his sand bed, and are now popping out of the sand, i have never seen anything like tht. You can see it on his first pic of the tan polyps.

yea, the voting starts at around April 30th, there will be weekly FTS, which everyone will take into account when the voting begins. In between the FTS, there will be status updates, and equipment shots, just to show everyone how the contest is going along.

someone went a little overboard with the online shopping:
1 x Blue Center with Green Mouth Blastomussa Merletti Frags = $9.99
1 x Red and Green Favia Frags = $19.99
1 x Green Mouth with Teal Rims Merletti Frags = $9.00
1 x Blastomussa - Rare PPE Merletti Frags = $9.99
1 x Leptastrea Pruinosa Farmed Frags ON SALE = $9.00
1 x Teal Cyphastrea Frags ON SALE = $9.99
All of them are coming on Friday, some newer, bigger frags are coming in on wednesday, phosban reactor comes in monday, and the metal halides also come in on wednesday. I oredered some refugium life(eg bristle worms, spaghetti worms, coralline algae, amphipods) from a hawaiian company set to come in on tuesday or wednesday.
This tank is becoming more and more like a true LPS monster, maybe a few sps on the side.

Man, i havn't visited this thread in a long time. To answer questions...
psychographic, ill take pics and get them to you by wednesday, ill even crop and enhance em with Aperture, k?
Deep, the contest is going to end on April 20th, that is the final deadline, no changes, skimmate will be drunk the same day, uploaded to youtube the next day.
danny, i havnt spent even a thousand bucks yet on this tank, and without corals it still looks better than yours. just imagine with some sweet looking acans, tsouth might even be put to shame!!!JK,(not really, its ON), a few favias, blastos, a heliofungia or two with the zoanthids and montis on top, i think that is going to beat algae, danny. IM done with the trash talk, no more till voting starts. Sorry danny, you cant egg me on, no trash talk, seriously.
tsouth, lock the cage, ronen, get ready to pay some serious AC/electric bills, this place is about to get hot!
