I used to have one of those...Raised it from a little egg, hand fed him to get him eating frozen foods...was doing great and then came home one day and could not find him...eventually found him deceased underneath some live rock...not sure if he got stuck or what...was really sad though..hope you have better luck than I did...

Looks just like mine...I was told it was a Coral Banded Shark...is that the same as a Bamboo Shark?

its called a banded bamboo cat shark and I've just been at the right place at the right time because my shark has both jumped out of my tank and gotten stuck in live rock!

Nice shark , But i hate to be the one to say it , your tank is too small for that fish. They can grow really big really fast and need lots of room to move.

Cool , In the long run it will pay off. It wont eat your little fish or knock over anything while it tries to swim. If you do get a bigger tank , get one just for the little guy and have only a rock or 2 in the tank , keep the rest in the sump if you can. lots of sand too

Do you have any other pics of your tank , would like to see some more

180 gal for a 40 plus inch shark?

I would lean towards being 1/2 Click the image to open in full size. way against it ...
