Default That krazy kamikaze_fish...

He's at it again.

Here's my plans. 3g tank. 5lb sand, 5lb uncured rock. No corals. No fish purchase, no livestock purchase of any sort. See what happens.

I'm going to set it on my desk at work, maybe drop a couple shrimp pellets in once in a while. I might, at most buy a couple snails and a couple hermit crabs, and maybe a shrimp. I do lub me some shrimp. I want to see what comes of the uncured rock. Last time I was dumb enough to think I'd be ok and had a cool gorilla crab that was a PITA for a reef tank. This time if I get one, he's welcome to stay. Since it'll be on my desk at work, I think this is the best way to have a low maintenance setup.

Sounds like a great idea. Mantis would be awesome to have in a setup like this....but the tank might be a bit too small; or is it?

Well, I have the tank, sitting in my car but I'm (semi)patiently waiting for the rock, water, and sand.

Better explanation, I'm waiting for a local shop to get the rock in. I know I could just order some, but I don't want to and it seems when you want it, uncured rock is hard to find locally.

That's just the way it works. You'll wait and wait and just when you no longer need it, it'll be for sale everywhere.
