Mushroom Propagation

Is there any other way to propagate mushroom corals besides using the mesh and rubberband method? Ive done research online, but that is all ive been able to find. What about some kind of epoxy or glue? I found a guy nearby willing to frag swap with me, but I'm new to coral propagation, and any help suggestion will be appreciated!

Glue won't work in my experience, they slimer themselves off. You can try tying them down with a rubberband until they stick.

What kind of glue did you use? I've been told super glue gel should work...but if you have experience with it, I guess not.

I've used cyanoacrylate based glue. I've heard some people use crazy glue and I've heard others say crazy glue can be toxic. I've never actually took the risk. Either way, the slime they produce slips them right off.

I placed them in a glass with a bunch of rubble rock after aweek they usally attach. Make sure there isn't to much flow in the glass.

good idea by newly salted. i just got 4 rics and placed them in a glass with rubble, and three of them are attached in about 9 days. this methed also worked with zoas. good luck

I have so many softies to frag that I would have to fill my whole tank with jars with rubble, this is not going to work for me.

I bought a frag shelf with plugs and need to be able to transplant them straight onto the plugs. I understand that the glue doesn't work but what if you dab them onto paper towel and then quickly glue, anybody?
