Default Pump for Beckett

I just purchased a Beckett Injector and before I go any further with my plans for my skimmer I need to know what size pump I'll need for it, I'm hoping for the smallest submersible pump possible to get decent results. Would a Magdrive run it ok? It's for a predominently Softie tank and a few LPS, So I don't think I need "super clean" water.

I also have a Kent Injector I could use if the Beckett will need to have a pump bigger than I can fit.
I would like to experiment with both though.

what skimmer is it and for how many gallons?
Usually the skimmer manufacturer recommends a pump for optimal performance.

Neither of these injectors are meant to be used with my skimmer. I know what the recommended flow rate is for the Kent, I'm trying to find out what is needed for the Beckett 1408 to perform correctly.

I did some reading on it , it seems 1200gal per hr is what will make the 1408 work. If you re using a internal pump go with something a bit more and use a valve.

THis is totally what ive heard from ppl i never used a beckett , is that externals make them foam best , again this is from ppl that used it so i can comment only pass it along , but im sure you know that

a quiet one 6000 is rated at 1500 gph, it will not run a beckett, you require a minimum of 5.5 psi ie. a pressure rated pump mag 18, little giant md3sc, etc. I was totally ***ed when I bought a QO ad it didnt work. if I remember correctly a beckett can pass 1200 gph
